Therapy Approach

I provide individual therapy to adults. I believe that each individual has within them, the key to live life to their greatest potential. The change that each individual seeks is unique and personal. When meeting with me, you are validated and encouraged to be your authentic self and to invent the life you want to live. The relationship between client and therapist is essential in regards to honesty, trust and genuine exploration. I create an environment that promotes authenticity, clarity, and confidence because the presence of these elements helps us remember that our potential to create change is always present. I have a holistic approach that builds on your personal strengths and that incorporates the wholeness of your individual experience.

I use a multi-systemic approach, drawing from a diverse selection of evidence-based treatment methods to help each client meet their personal goals. I understand that the same approach doesn't work for everyone and many people benefit most from multiple therapeutic models. Regardless of the specific model I am using, I have a humanistic and empowerment-based approach. The evidence-based and treatment methods that I provide include:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing)

  • IFS (Internal Family Systems)

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

  • Positive Psychology

  • Trauma Informed

  • LBGTQIA+ Affirmative

Common reasons to initiate therapy can include experiences of:

  • Trauma

  • Grief

  • Major life changes

  • Difficult emotions such as anxiety and depression

  • A desire to gain a deeper understanding of how your past relates to your present

I offer HIPAA compliant Telehealth, as well as in person sessions, at no extra charge to my clients. Managing our mental and emotional health needs is important now more than ever.

About Me

I moved from the East Coast to Utah in 2008 in an effort to create the change I wanted in my life. I was drawn to Utah because of my love for the outdoors. Whether I’m expecting a powder day in the mountains, an exploratory day in the slot canyons or a fruitful day working in my garden, I am regularly seeking challenges and new ways I can grow as an individual and as a therapist. I am dedicated to the healing process both in my personal and professional life.

  • Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the State University of New York

  • Masters in Social Work from Rhode Island College

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed to work with clients who reside in Utah, Idaho and Nevada
