I use a multi-systemic approach, drawing from a diverse selection of evidence-based treatment methods to help each client meet their personal goals. I understand that the same approach doesn't work for everyone and many people benefit most from multiple therapeutic models. Regardless of the specific model I am using, I have a humanistic and empowerment-based approach. The evidence-based and trauma informed treatment methods that I provide include EMDR, IFS, Positive Psychology and CBT.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Can I benefit from EMDR?

 

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is helpful for individuals who have experienced trauma (examples include sexual or physical assault, combat experience, sudden death of a loved one) or any life disturbing experiences (examples include divorce, injury, miscarriage, feelings of rejection or failure).

 

Why EMDR?

 

When we experience distress in our lives, it is not uncommon for the memory of the distressing event to become stored in our thoughts, emotions, images and body, creating symptoms that are uncomfortable and disrupting. The key goals of EMDR are to make peace with the difficult events in your past, progress on your intentional path with a decreased level of distress and a renewed positive belief about yourself.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Can I benefit from IFS?
